The folder holds three documents relating to the working relationship of Edward Arpee and Col. John (Jeff) Francis Regis Seitz. The first document is a letter sent from Arpee to Seitz on the plans for publication of Seitz's manuscript, "From Pearl Harbor to the Elbe." The second document is the first 2-page introduction of Seitz's manuscript written by Edward Arpee. The final item in this folder is a compiled set of factual information papers from 2011 on Col. Seitz. This set of information is mainly provided to shed more light on the personal character of Mr. Seitz and by extension his connection to Edward Apree.

This folder holds all correspondence between author Edward Apree and City of Lake Forest Mayor Michael Cudahy. Items #1-3 Letter to Apree from Cudahy that states that Apree's manuscript is fully in his possession and to not make any mention that it was originally commissioned at the request of the city and the Centennial Committee. **It was the Rotary Club that later aided in the publication of the book. Letter by Apree in Response to Cudahy's earlier request-he states that he agrees the book should have not affiliation with the Committee and agrees to the City's terms. (2 copies of the same letter) Final Letter from Cudahy to Apree releasing all rights to the "This History of Lake Forest" and to restate that the book now has no connection to the city of Lake Forest Centennial Committee.
