Prompt script for Belle Lamar, apparently by director John F. Baird. Galley proofs for script, pasted onto three-ring punched paper, with handwritten annotations (more than one hand). Flyer included but top half is torn. Unconfirmed that this was a Northwestern University Theatre production.

This production at Northwestern July 1937 was staged by Garrett Leverton, according to the program, p. 4, v. 1. p. 10 of v. 1 includes a handwritten note of thanks from Glaspell, the author. There are twelve 4" x 6" b & w photographs of stage settings, etc., v. 1, pp. 77-82.

Original trypescript (black with red pencil underlining, letter size, in three parts, with clip-pinned blue paper covers. Stamped "to be returned to Samuel French..." on cover front. The other two parts' covers are marked "Rosenfield Stenography..." Part I includes a title-page, "Cast of Characters" page, and Act I. script, 31 pp. Part II., Act II., includes 27 pp. Part III., Act III., has 22 pp. The front cover of Part I. is marked in pencil "1887."

In pencil: under the title "By Walter Woods" and "MS submitted by Barrett H. Clark Briarcliff Manor, N.Y." Pencilled in the upper left corner of the title-page, apparently in Barrett Clark's handwriting, "See Audrey Wood re copyright Lapsed last year".

Lined manuscript copy book, 10" tall by 8" wide, two signatures sewn together in brown wrappers, though only the front wrapper of he first signature and the back cover of the second survive.  Act 1, 22 pp., Act 2, 28 pp.  On the front cover, in tall, underlined ink script, "The Wizard Skiff/Prompt Book."  In pencil, lower right, "by Augustine [sic] Daly."  Stamped "T. Goodwin, No. 7/ Vandams/ New York."  The title-page reads: "W. Wheatley/The Wizard Skiff/or the/ Massacre of Scio/ A nautical and romantic Melodrama/ in Two Acts./Partly founded on the massacre of Scio, and/partly on a popular superstition prevalent/in the Greek Isles-/Written for Mad'lle. Mimeographed play script, hard bound (red cloth), with three acts, variously paged. On title-page, lower left: "To be returned to Samuel French... New York City, NY." Following the title-page there is a page of characters and scenes, the next three pages the "Property Plot," a page of the "Light Plot," and a page of the "Dress Plot." This copy shows water damage at the bottom, but no text lost and pages not stuck together.
