Original typescript one-act in red and black ink, 41 pp., with three pages of introductory material following the title-page: Characters; Time-Place-Scene-Note; and p. "(0)" immediately prior to p. 1, setting the scene, or background.  Bound in a tan folder, stamped both lower right front cover and lower right title-page "To be returned to Samuel French...."

Lined manuscript copy book, 10" tall by 8" wide, two signatures sewn together in brown wrappers, though only the front wrapper of he first signature and the back cover of the second survive.  Act 1, 22 pp., Act 2, 28 pp.  On the front cover, in tall, underlined ink script, "The Wizard Skiff/Prompt Book."  In pencil, lower right, "by Augustine [sic] Daly."  Stamped "T. Goodwin, No. 7/ Vandams/ New York."  The title-page reads: "W. Wheatley/The Wizard Skiff/or the/ Massacre of Scio/ A nautical and romantic Melodrama/ in Two Acts./Partly founded on the massacre of Scio, and/partly on a popular superstition prevalent/in the Greek Isles-/Written for Mad'lle. Celeste, by the author of/ The Spirit Bride" etc. -"

Original trypescript (black with red pencil underlining, letter size, in three parts, with clip-pinned blue paper covers. Stamped "to be returned to Samuel French..." on cover front. The other two parts' covers are marked "Rosenfield Stenography..." Part I includes a title-page, "Cast of Characters" page, and Act I. script, 31 pp. Part II., Act II., includes 27 pp. Part III., Act III., has 22 pp. The front cover of Part I. is marked in pencil "1887."

Part II, sections 1 (prompt script) and 2 (scene designs, three color elevations, three plans, equipment set-up charts, light plot; costuming, with twenty color plates; properties; music; and make-up).

Three lined copybooks, one labeled in ink with the author's name, the title, "Act 1," and in pencil "1884," the second "Act 2nd,"  and the third "Act 3rd."  The three books have printed text pages pasted into them, on the rectos, with directions on the versos, facing.  They appear to be signed as property of the author, p. 1 each.  Also, stamped "Return to Samuel French... N.Y." There are annotations in pen and pencil, some over struck.  A note in pencil at the opening of Act I. indicates this is one of twelve copies. The script includes significant changes in ink to the printed text.

Typescript on onion skin paper, in black and red inks. The script is preceded by one page with a Note, one page with an Author's Foreward, one page for characters, and one page of synopsis of scenes.  Stage directions in the script are in red type.
