The collection consists of records from several academic departments at the College. Types of materials include reports, correspondence, syllabi, course information, and other official materials. The files have been collected from various faculty over the years, and as of July 2017 there are only a few departments represented.
The collection consists of photographs of Lake Forest College people, events, organizations, and buildings along with many other photos. Most originate with the Communications department and may have been originally produced for campus publications. Others may have been donated by individuals.

The collection consists of papers of the presidents of Lake Forest College. Materials are sparse from the presidencies of Robert Patterson, Daniel Gregory, William Roberts, James McClure, John Coulter, Richard Harlan and John Nollen. Beginning with Herbert Moore through Gene Hotchckiss, records include correspondence, subject files, and official documents. David Spadafora's presidency is not well documented.
Hotchkiss, Eugene IIIThe collection consists of student memorabilia, scrapbooks, correspondence, student organization material, and any other items donated by students about their lives at Lake Forest College. Student government material is primarily found in this collections; there are related materials in the Dean of Students/Student Affairs office records.
