William Crosby worked with Elliott Donnelley to preserve shay locomotives at the Illinois Railroad Museum and at the La Porte Indiana Historic Steam Society. Crosby made home movies of Donnelley's western railroad trips.
Shirley MacDonald Paddock has lived in Lake Forest, Illinois here entire life. She married Harold L. Paddock in 1954. The couple had three children together. Paddock worked as a staff member for School District 67.
Paddock has an interest in Lake Forest history and has published a number of books. These include being a co-author of “Downtown Lake Forest (Then and Now),” published in 2009, “Lake Forest: Estates, People, and Culture (Images of America),” published in 2000, and “West Lake Forest (Images of America)” published in 2012.
Paddock served on the boards for the Lake Forest/Lake Bluff Historical Society, Lake Forest Foundation for Historic Preservation, and the History and Archives Committee of the First Presbyterian Church.
Jean Brown was married to Cameron Brown. The couple had one daughter together named Sophie. Brown had three other daughters, Phyllis, Paula and Leila.
